Apparatus for flexible and controlled application of substances to blood vessels

A novel lysis catheter was developed, which facilitates the delivery of a lysis substance locally into the thrombus. Due to the two long hollow bodies suspended over one another, it is possible to apply a substance, coming from the above-mentioned emersion points, over a targeted length. For this purpose, the catheter is equipped with numerous openings placed behind each other, which can be partially closed, so that the number of the open emersion points as well as their position could be variably stimulated. In addition, the form of both hollow bodies is shaped in such a way that a substance at the end of the hollow bodies could either outflow or on the other hand, could be obstructed from such flowing.
