Multi-modal cancer therapy using viral hitchhiking

Cancer therapies based on immunological methods are a rapidly expanding field of cancer treatment options. However, one major problem immunebased cancer therapies face is that cancer cells manage to escape immunological control during their evolution. Methods enabling the immune system to rerecognize tumor cells are therefore an essential part of immune cancer therapies. The present invention is based on a fusion protein that substantially enhances the tumordestroying effect of T-cells against tumor cells marked with Newcastle disease virus (NDV).
