DASGIP to Demonstrate the Role of Context in Converting Process Data into Process Information

To provide a further illustration of the points raised in Mr. Wests’ presentation, DASGIP has partnered with Nova Biomedical to demonstrate interconnectivity between its best in class bioreactor control system and Nova’s BioProfile FLEX bioprocess analyzer.

This interconnectivity, achieved through successful deployment of the industry standard bi-directional OPC communication protocol, will highlight the following points:

• Increasing process understanding by means of contextualized process data

• Improving process performance through an automated nutrient feed

• Mitigating risk through dynamic monitoring of health of in situ sensors

This demonstration will also feature the DASGIP Remote System, an integrated solution for the successful monitoring and optional control of the DASGIP benchtop bioreactor system. This solution is capable of being implemented by means of a web portal which supports Windows based hardware or a downloadable app for Apple products such as the iPhone or iPad.

“Our presentation and associated demonstration will introduce, to bioprocess professionals attending Interphex this year, the role technology can play in increasing process understanding, improving process performance and mitigating risk” says Karl Rix, CEO DASGIP BioTools, LLC.
