Non-wovens consisting of oriented mesotubes and nanotubes

Meso- and nanotubes with different layers have been used for some time for the production of hollow fibres and non-wovens. These non-wovens and the hollow fibres are suitable as separation media as well as for storage and are used in microelectronics, optics and catalyst technology. Up to now, the coated tubes had to be produced in several complex steps. In addition, they often took arbitrary orientations in non-wovens, thus their employment as separation media or for storage was limited.
