A novel Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy based approach for rapid and reliable differentiation of fresh from frozen/thawed meat or fish. This fast and inexpensive high throughput technique represents a powerful tool to ascertain correct labeling of meat and fish.
