Low-Power, High-Performance ALU Grid Processor
High-performance processors can only handle independent instructions in parallel. The invention describes a processor architecture which allows the handling of dependent and independent instructions in one clock-cycle. This feature helps to increase the performance of computations significantly. On the other hand, the same performance can be reached at a lower frequency, i.e. the processor architecture can also be used to reduce the power-consumption and to design low-power processors.
