Live video stream from a mobile phone

The invention presented here enables every user of a multimedia mobile communication device (mobile phone, for example) to act as a TV reporter. For example, the amateur reporter can take pictures or videos from his or her current surroundings and send them to a TV station. Upon appropriate studio processing, the images are immediately ready for broadcasting. Until now, TV reports meant sending a professional team to the event’s location. Most of the time, this was only possible at high logistics and financial cost, however. The novel process enables people on the spot to report partially or integrally on the event. The sole requirement is the availability of a multimedia mobile communication device. The data (live report with sound and photograph/video) can be sent to a TV station via the mobile phone network. Upon appropriate processing, the report can be broadcasted in real time. In turn, the reception of the TV broadcast is possible either on home or mobile TV sets.
