BISS – Integrated and selfsupporting formwork

Self-supporting pre-fabricated element with fair-faced concrete qualities

The invention is a formwork element which consists of a plate reinforced with textiles. The element is stabilised by means of a special structure and therefore self-supporting. The formwork part is poured with a hydraulically settled matrix, e.g. high quality concrete, which permeates the textiles. After the dismantling there is a pre-fabricated element which remains in the building (lost form) after the use as formwork. Therefore it is an integrated constructional element. These elements serve as formwork and can also be included for static calculations. At least one side of the element has fairfaced concrete qualities. It can be smooth or structured.
