Admission Control and Rate Allocation of Communication Networks
The invention allows building a network, which can mimic the behaviour of an IntServ-like network cloud by doing precise and fine-grained admission control for per-flow signalling requests. It allows carrying out flow admission control and dynamic rate allocation for a network domain with very low complexity for internal network nodes.
The process is compliant with the existing IP header definitions. The aim is to control the processing (nodes) and forwarding (links) resources depending on which of both forms a critical bottleneck.
