Sorting nexin (SNXB8), a new target for the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, diabetes and obesity
Scientists of the LMU of Munich identified a novel member of a subgroup of the sorting nexin family, SNX-B8 also denoted as SNX-30. In the present invention this novel attributed sorting nexin activity modifies the alpha and beta secretase cleavage of amyloid precursor protein (APP) by controlling its endocytic trafficking.
