Mechanism for shear bar sharpening in forage harvester
Since fuel is a major economical factor for chopping crops and usage of fuel is directly linked to the sharpness of knifes and shear bars, we present a novel solution that helps reducing the amount of fuel used.
The solution presents a design of an integrated mechanism for sharpening shear bar in a forage harvester – Integrated within chopping drum – Switchable – Along the entire shear bar. It significantly reduces fuel consumption, maintenance time and guaranties a high degree of sharpening quality due to robust mechanic outlay.
