World Conference on Regenerative Medicine 2011

The World Conference on Regenerative Medicine is taking place on November 2-4 in Leipzig, Germany. Lots of abstracts have been submitted by delegates from 40 countries so far.

Due to several requests for late submission, the submission deadline has been extended. Abstracts for poster and oral presentations can be submitted until June 22th at www.wcrm-leipzig.com

The main topics of the conference are new stem-cell technologies, tissue engineering, biomaterials, diagnostics and the molecular basis of regeneration. A more detailed focus has been placed on regenerative therapies for neurological, cardiologic, oncologic and autoimmune diseases.

Bone, cartilage and skin defects are a special focus of tissue replacement. Moreover, the event aims to foster dialogue between researchers, clinicians and business representatives. The conference program therefore includes sessions on regulatory, economic and ethical aspects of regenerative medicine. Three exciting social events and a large industrial exhibition enrich the scientific program.

The World Conference on Regenerative Medicine is organized by the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) and the Translational Center for Regenerative Medicine (TRM) at Leipzig University.
