6th CFK-Valley Stade Convention, 12-13 June 2012 in Stade

To achieve production processes with high economic efficiency, short cycle times together with good controllability of the heating systems within a process chain are absolutely necessary.

As only the composite material, not the ambient environment is heated up, heat transfer via infrared radiation is a versatile tool in the fast and economic production of fiber reinforced polymer materials (FRP).

The following work focuses on the heating of glass and carbon fiber composites with thermoplastic matrix material. Process parameters power density, wavelength as well as fiber/matrix combinations are investigated for batch and continuous processing.

Commingled yarns as well as consolidated bulk materials are studied. The use of numerical methods for studying design processes is illustrated with the aim to decrease energy losses. (…)

The presentation will be given on Tuesday, 12 June. The complete program of the CFK-Valley Stade Convention is available at www.cfk-convention.com/PROGRAM
Due to the limited number of participants, binding registration is required for each participant. Please use the registration form online:
