SteRT – Sterilizable intelligent RFID-Tag

With the aid of SteRT a completely automated system for

the monitoring and documentation of the sterilization process of medical devices can be realized. For this purpose the RFID-Tag is coupled with a micromechanic or electronical system. This combination will be integrated in the medical device. After the sterilization process the receiver-/transmitter-unit reads out the identification number of the RFID-Tag and the information about the sterilization process and forwards this information to a documentation system. The technology of SteRT is robust and reliable, so it is specifically suitable for medical applications.
