MgCl2-mediated direct carbonylation of organozinc reagents
Organometallic reagents serve as a highly diverse toolkit for synthetic organic chemists. The invention highlights a new MgCl2 mediated addition of organozincs to carbon dioxide and carbonyl derivatives, which enables a cheap and convenient pathway to synthesize different pharmacologically relevant products, like Ibuprofen.
