Method for Studying Virus Particle Release
This invention provides methods and means for studying influenza virus particle release, especially the association of matrix protein M1 with the cellular membrane as well as the association of hemagglutinin (H, HA) and its with lipid-rafts. In detail genetically engineered matrix M1 proteins with nuclear export signals as well as artificial HA and artificial raft-marker are provided. Association is studied with FRET-technology in cell systems.
