Complexation of a Photosensitizer,Resveratrol and Quercetin with polymeric excipient for improved water solubility

At Saarland University, a procedure has been developed that allows a significant enhancement of water solubility of photosensitizers of the porphyrin and chlorine family, resveratrol and quercetin which are usually insoluble. This can be attained by reversible complex formation of the active agents with a certain structural element which is approved for oral application.
