The New Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Source – PlasmaCone®
The PlasmaCone® is a new inventive atmospheric pressure plasma source for applications as local or sequential plasma cleaning and plasma treatment by a plasma jet or by a plasma beam. The unique feature is a coaxial circular aperture. Hence the new PlasmaCone is the first source for a plasma jet or a plasma beam to be used with true coaxial online process control or true coaxial hybrid processes, e.g. laser-plasma-hybrid-processes. Moreover the PlasmaCone is the first source with true coaxial feeding which makes it appropriate for plasma treatment of fibres as well as for local or sequential plasma assisted depostion processes. Additionally the central aperture makes the PlasmaCone the first choice plasma source to establish plasma acitvated ionisation spectroscopy (PAIS).
The term 'PlasmaCone' is a community trade mark, registered for the European Union at OHIM.
