Tool Spindle
With the newly developed tool spindle system conventional spindle rotors and the tool holding fixtures connected with it can be set aside by means of direct bearing of the tool into the spindle. The concentric running of the tool, for example a cutter, does not depend any more on precise tension of a tool holding fixture, but only on concentric running of bearing and production tolerances of the tool. Furthermore measurement and determination of correction values of fixing can be renounced because the tool is in line with the rotation axis of the spindle system due to its construction. Altogether the system will become simpler as it consists of few parts. The simple structure of the spindle and the part reduction lead to a lower space requirement for construction, thus resulting in a higher axis acceleration and machine-tool performance.
