MANIPULATION OF THE GROWTH OF LIVING CELLS VIA CELL-SURFACE-INTERACTION
A small German research group has developed a system which allows the controlled influencing of cells via cell-surface-interaction. Living cells are functionalized with magnetic particles and their culture can therefore be structured in real time by external magnetic fields. The advantage is the direct reaction to observe the behaviour of cells. The group is looking for partners interested in licence agreements, further developments and commercialisation in co-operation with the university.
