Soldest Terra

The supply of clean drinking water is more and more a problem worldwide. In Africa alone are more than 42% of the people without access to clean drinking water. But also the European Mediterranean area is affected by drinking water shortages because of frequent droughts.

Objective of the project was to address customer needs and to develop a technique which can be operated by families and villages independently. Soldest Terra is optimized for locations with high solar radiation year-around. Soldest Terra is a self-sufficient system because the water is filled into the system by solar pumps or by a reservoir like a tank. Solar radiation is used to distill the water to drinking quality.
