Measurement of Adhesion
While testing the adhesion properties of polymer films upon substrates or metal coatings upon plastics, test procedures like pull-off test or scratch test often provide dissatisfying reproducibilty in the measurement results. The procedure according to the granted patent EP1380832 provides high reproducible results. By measuring the critical stress for delamination, the adhesion enegy is directly deduced as the physically relevant parameter of the bonding quality.
