dyn-fl-OX-Controller – Optimized LC/ICP-MS coupling

The invention provides a time-dynamic flow of oxygen for feeding into 3ICP-MS systems. In coupled LC/ICP-MS sys-tems this allows a solvent gradient to be compensated in the LC. In this case, a dynamic flow of oxygen is firstly optimized empirically at the respective LC gradients – this is started at the same time as the LC/ICP-MS measurement using an appropriate trigger device. A constantly low analyte-oxide-rate and therefore an improved signal-noise ratio are ob-served as a result of using a parallel optimized oxygen flow (cf. figures).
