ScanBalt Academy strengthens its importance as a high level scientific body

SBA brings together distinguished scientists either located in academic institutions and/or research based industry and/or organizations in fields related to Health and Life Sciences.

The acting president, Professor emeritus Kaare Norum, Oslo University. Department of Nutrition, School of Medicine says:

I am very pleased that SBA enhances the possibility to draw on the knowledge of top level scientists in the Nordic-Baltic area for the benefits of society. This is a valuable resource decision and opinion makers can apply in order to qualify their ideas and suggestions.

An immediate task is to promote the Arctic as a role model for the studies of climate changes; a programme proposed by SBA under the name of ALERT (Arctic learning, research and technology)”.

The annual ScanBalt Academy Day this year is taking place in Szczecin and Miedzyzdroje, Poland, September 20-21, kindly organised by Prof. Andrzej Legocki, Polish Academy of Sciences and Prof. Jan Lubinski, Pomeranian Medical University.

Subsequently the 10th ScanBalt forum takes place from 21.-23. Sept in Heringsdorf on the Polish-German Island of Usedom. More than 200 acteurs in life sciences from science and industry present their progress in cross border cooperation and celebrate their 10th anniversary.
