ECCO 14 – The European Cancer Conference Barcelona, Spain

ECCO 14 will take place at the Centro de Conveniones Internacional de Barcelona (CCIB) and the Forum Building Auditorium, Barcelona, Spain (www.ccib.es) from Sunday 23 September to Thursday 27 September 2007.

ECCO is recognised as one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary cancer conferences and provides a unique European forum for presentations of exciting new research from experimental and clinical oncologists, epidemiologists and cancer nurses. Over 12.000 scientists, clinicians, doctors, nurses, patients and care givers are expected to attend.

More than 100 experts in different cancer fields have developed a wide-ranging and exciting conference programme, and this year an unprecedented number of basic science abstracts have been accepted and integrated into the programme. There will be first reports from a large number of high quality Phase III trials.

The Federation of European Cancer Societies (FECS) welcome the interest of the press in cancer issues and are happy to provide full assistance to journalists attending ECCO 14, or using the conference website as a resource in their coverage of cancer issues. A media centre with computing, fax, photocopying and free international phone and internet connections will be available.
