Nanogrid-based Vertically Integrated Photomixer for Continuous-wave Terahertz Generation
According to the invention, the state-of-the-art design has been significantly improved using a nanogrid which is connected to the top contact. The new design allows to apply the same or even lower laser power to the photomixer without reducing the photocurrent, but reduces its device capacitance considerably.
