A new Technique for a better Restoration of Vision by Retinal Implants
Our invention describes an implantable electrode array with tripolar, quadrupolar or higher multipolar electrical cells. Furthermore the direction of the electrical field in our multipolar chip can “rotate” around the multipole axis. This additional degree of freedom permits a simulation of the microsaccades.
