Biochemist e-volution launched!

Biochemist e-volution – the site for life scientists – is an exciting new online magazine. With something new every day, it consists of:

~ daily news stories
~ the most comprehensive Diary of Events for life scientists
~ job adverts
~ training information
~ competitions and surveys
~ grants and awards news
~ book reviews
~ equipment and company news
~ the latest from The Biochemist magazine

“Over 600 members of the Biochemical Society told us that they wanted a forum for time-sensitive information, and the Biochemical Society has responded to this need,” said Gary Burd, Executive Editor. “The Biochemist magazine has a very strong features-led outlook, but being a bimonthly it suffers by being unable to publish up-to-date material. Biochemist e-volution allows us to put material out into the public domain the day it is announced! Our members have been asking for job advertisements for years, but we have been unable to provide such a facility — we finally have the resources and the right arena now.”

“The name Biochemist e-volution represents the changing nature of the website and the differences between the site and the print magazine,” explained Gary. “We wanted to make sure that people realized that we weren’t just putting the magazine on the web. It actually adds to the magazine.”

The online version of Biochemist e-volution does also contain pdf versions of all the feature articles published in The Biochemist, creating a useful, searchable archive of these essential reviews for life scientists.
