Relaunch of the Transport Research Knowledge Centre

The Transport Research Knowledge Centre (TRKC) has relaunched its web portal www.transport-research.info – with a dynamic new look, improved navigation and user-friendly structure.

The Transport Research Knowledge Centre features up-to-date information on transport research activities. It enables policy makers, researchers and other stakeholders to access results of EU or nationally financed transport research in the European Research Area (ERA).

Visitors can easily browse and search information about:

• Transport research programmes across the European Research Area;
• Ongoing and completed European and national transport research projects;
• European and national research funding mechanisms;
• Thematic analysis reports;
• Policy brochures;
• Major events in the international transport community.
Users also have quick and easy access to a link library listing transport research government institutions, professional organisations, information relays or fora. Using TRKC’s data collection tool, project coordinators can submit descriptions and results of their own projects.
Enhancements to the website include:

• Improved navigation – the website and the search tools are structured in an intuitive and consistent way, making it easier for visitors to find what they are looking for and know where they are within the web site;

• Improved look and feel – enhanced graphics and new page layouts provide visitors with an improved user experience.

The Transport Research Knowledge Centre will be present at the Transport Research Arena 2008, on April 21-24, in Ljubljana – Slovenia. Participants are welcomed to visit our stand for a personal introduction to the new TRKC website.
