Fraunhofer HHI’s Mobile TiME Lab at RTT Excite 2014 in Munich

RTT, provider for professional high-end 3D visualization software and developer of DeltaGen, is using the immersive environment of the Mobile TiME Lab developed by Fraunhofer HHI to showcase interactive real-time rendering of virtual worlds in 3D on a 180° screen at RTT Excite 2014, 15-16 May in Munich.

The TiME Lab, which is located at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute in Berlin, is a showroom for immersive content, using a number of specific technologies and systems like immersive ultra-high definition video projection, three-dimensional spatial audio playback and touchless user interaction. It is equipped with a panoramic screen of 180 degrees, a passive 3D multi-projection system and an outstanding audio system (WFS – Wave Field Synthesis).

The mobile version of the TiME Lab was launched in 2012. It can be used in a flexible manner for a variety of different applications including live transmission of panoramic ultra-high definition video as well as panoramic showcases for exhibitions and tradeshows. The Mobile TiME Lab is designed to operate as a room-in-room system and can accommodate audiences of up to 60 people.

RTT Excite is an international summit for the 3D visualization industry. Renowned product manufacturers in the automotive, aerospace and consumer goods industries will explore the complete range of RTT´s 3D visualization solutions in the field of Design & Development, Marketing, Sales and After-Sales. The areas of business R&D, IT and Creative CGI will also be part of the exhibition.
