Nutrients Recovery – eMarket platform launched!

Suppliers of recovered nutrients include water utilities, manure processing plants, waste management companies. Potential users cover the agricultural supply chain from fertiliser manufacturing (use as a secondary raw material), through fertiliser blenders and distribution, to agricultural cooperatives and farmers, as well as other nutrient users such as nurseries, parks and gardens, forestry and land reclamation.

The eMarket platform is non-commercial and facilitates the market development for secondary nutrients. Interested companies, utilities, farmers and other nutrient suppliers or users are invited to register their offer or requirements online. Use and participation are free of charge with information/content given on voluntarily base.

With regards to long term sustainability beyond the duration of P-REX as a project, the eMarket has been directly incorporated into the website of the European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP).

The eMarket-database will provide a wide range of information: type of product, nutrients content, quantities available, physical location of production, supply/transport logistics

The eMarket has been developed within the EU FP7 funded project P-REX (contract no. 308645; www.p-rex.eu) and was shaped by many stakeholders in and outside the project.
