The agonistic prodrug Fingolimod (FTY720) en-abled the first oral treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis by modulating sphin-golipid signaling. Scientists developed novel Fingolimod non-prodrug derivatives, which re-duce the blood-brain-barrier leakage and blood T lymphocytes.
