ECNP Unveils Grant for Emerging Neuropsychopharmacology Researchers
The objective of the grant is to provide the opportunity for committed, promising European young scientists in neuropsychopharmacology and/or closely related disciplines to expand their knowledge and/or skills by working on scientific projects and to study the practice of neuropsychopharmacology preferably in a different country, thereby also creating new and international connections. Accordingly, the research work should be carried out at a European academic department of neuropsychopharmacology and/or closely related discipline.
To qualify for an ECNP Research Grant for Young Scientists, the applicant must:
•be a citizen of a European country (including Russia, Turkey and Israel)
•have a PhD or MD degree
•be within the first 5 years of employment after receiving the PhD or MD degree
•be actively engaged full-time in clinical or basic research, in neuropsychopharmacology and/or closely related disciplines at an institute or department with an ECNP-member as supervisor
•have a good working knowledge of the English language
•be able to fulfil the obligations of an awardee
The duration of the project to be proposed is between 3 and 12 months, starting within a year after the application is granted. For this year the applications can be submitted until 28 February 2008.
