Share of women among professors increases to over 20% in 2012

The total number of professors increased by nearly 16% over a period of ten years.

The proportion of female professors rose continuously in the same period.

It increased from nearly 12% in 2002 to over 20% in 2012.

The number of female professors nearly doubled over that period. Amounting to about 8,900, it reached a new peak in 2012.
