Precipitator Using Non-reactive Separation Fluid

The novel precipitator is suitable for high-speed reactions of chemicals in the liquid phase. It achieves supersaturation through the rapid mixing of two different solutions.

The reagents are fed in two layers through inlet ducts together with a non-reactive fluid that separates the layers and thus delays the reaction. Accelerated precipitation and controlled kernel formation subsequently occur in the mixing zone. The novel precipitator is particularly suit-able for the following applications: Scratch-resistant paints, Catalysers, Organic pigments, Ceramic powders, Electro-ceramic mixed oxides and Pharmaceutical, medical and cosmetic nanoparticles.
