Exploding stars may seem like an unlikely yardstick for measuring the vast distances of space, but astronomers have been mapping the universe for decades using…
But half of all stars are in binaries — pairs of stars that orbit each other. Half of binary stars orbit so close that gravitational interaction significantly…

The present invention includes a measuring system which is specifically engineered for the attachment of the device “Polar Equine RS800 CX” to large animals. It consists of an elastic stretch material which does not restrict the freedom of movement and breathing during the measurement. The measuring belt contains wide velcro-fastener and buckle systems and can thus be adapted to the individual chest sizes of large animals. It also contains leather bags in which the electrodes, the transmitter and, if necessary, the receiver can be stowed in order to protect them from environmental influences. The leather bags are attached to the measuring belt by using velcrostraps. Thereby they can be positioned variably along the belt at different positions. The belt system has already been completed with the help of a saddler. Its function – especially its fitting has been proven in case of longterm measurements (for example over a period of 24 hours). It is also be suited for field measurements.
The innovation is a device for workpiece orientation that exactly positions the tool during the transformation process for its adaption. (E.g. sawing, bending, welding, drilling, grinding, etc
The high energy density Li-ion battery is already being used as power sources in applications such as portable devices (smartphones and tablets), electric…
This means that the sensor needs not even a single wire, nor a battery that would have to be replaced. The arrival of such sensors is an important development…
