Application of A-Ring-Aromatized Acetyl-Minocyclines for Therapy of T-Cell Mediated Diseases
A Pentaacetylcyclin – an A-Ring aromatized and acetylated derivative of minocycline – is provided which exhibits immunomodulatory and neuroprotective action. The compound has been applied intraperitonally and orally in the mouse model of Multiple Sclerosis EAE (Experimental Autoimmune Enzephalomyelitis. Comparably low concentrations led to a relief in the acute phase of the disease.
