New class of Oxygen-bridged Bimetallic Catalysts for Olefin Polymerization.
Chemist at the University of Göttingen developed a new family of polymerization catalysts, which drastically reduces the amount of expensive co-catalyst. In addition, the second generation inserts small levels of branching, leading to excellent processibility and high melt tensions suitable for film and blister production.
