Constructed for easy installation – New shaft couplings for high torques of up to 110,000 Nm

mayr® power transmission has extended the scope of performance on the tried and tested ROBA®-DS disk pack couplings. The new construction sizes cover a nominal torque range from 22,000 to 110,000 Nm. In these sizes, the flexible disk pack is connected via positive locking and backlash-free with the mounted parts.

A new cone connection means that the screw tightening torques can be reduced to a fraction of their original value in comparison with standard frictionally locking constructions. This makes installation and de-installation substantially easier. In addition, the units for installation and de-installation of the coupling cannot be displaced.

On large couplings, the ease of installation is also an important economic aspect. Simple and quick installation can save many hours of work and unnecessary costs. Apart from that, handling large couplings is a back-breaking job. Why should things be made more difficult for fitters than necessary?
ROBA®-DS disk pack couplings are extremely robust, are not sensitive to high and low temperatures and are extremely torsionally rigid and maintenance-free. They transmit the torque backlash-free and without wear and compensate for shaft misalignment. On double-jointed couplings, the component between the two disk packs can be varied very flexibly in length for adjustment to the shaft distance. Due to their superb characteristics, disk pack couplings are frequently the preferred choice if high torques are to be transferred.
