New Energy Management Solutions for Simatic Systems

Already applicable to the Simatic WinCC visualization system and the Simatic PCS 7 process control system in its existing version, Simatic powerrate now also performs energy management tasks in smaller-scale applications. A configuration wizard relieves users of the more complex planning work, thereby reducing significantly the expenditure on this aspect.

Moreover, users can now choose between the default layout of the user interface or, if they prefer, a freely configurable operating screen. In its latest Version 5.2, the B.Data management tool – which enables the production company to optimize its energy costs and transparency at the management level, all the way from purchasing, through planning to financial controlling – can also be used with Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7. The Oracle license previously included with B.Data is no longer needed and the user benefits from a significantly more economical and simpler licensing model.
