Thermally Modified Timber (TMT)
Thermally modified timber (TMT) is made from raw wood through a highly precise heat treatment. It features improved durability and stability with no chemical additives. Thermal modification reduces shrinking and swelling and improves resistance against pest infestation. In addition the heat treatment gives the wood a homogenous dark colour throughout its transversal section.
