Glass Fibre Delay Line
The invention describes a way to use less expensive glass fibres as delay lines for e.g. tunable lasers. An FDML laser using this setup even showed better performance than a laser using the standard setup. The invention provides significant cost saving potential in the range several thousand Euros per laser.
