Mit der vorliegenden maternalen Karunkelepithel-Zelllinie sind neue und spezifische in-vitro-Untersuchungen zur Physiologie und Pathologie der Reproduktion beim Rind möglich. <br><br> - in-vitro-Assay zum Nachweis der Wirksamkeit von Medikamenten und Stof-fen auf die epitheliale Barriere der Plazenta<br> - in-vitro-Assay zum Nachweis von toxischen Substanzen auf die Plazenta und somit auf die Embryonalentwicklung<br> - Modellsystem für Transportstudien mit trächtigkeitsrelevanten Substanzen (u.a. Hormone, Bakterien, Viren vor allem BVD)<br> - Modellsystem für Tumorforschung (da eingeschränkte Trophoblasteninva-sion)<br> - in-vitro-Assay zur Diagnose und Therapie von invasiven Prozessen<br> - in-vitro-Assay zur Diagnose und Therapie von Störungen in den trächtig-keitsrelevanten Prozessen z.B. Prostaglandin-Synthese<br> - Untersuchung der Endokrinologie z.B. Östrogen- und Oxytocin-Wirkungen<br> - Untersuchung der Zell-Zell Interaktionen<br>
