New Production Method of N-Aryl Carbamates (Urethanes) and N-Aryl Isocyanates with Selectivity of 99%
The invention provides a novel method of producing N-aryl carbamates (urethanes)
and/or N-aryl isocyanates through reductive carbonylation of aromatic nitro compounds. Unlike traditional methods, the new method does not require expensive metals and toxic phosgene. Moreover, the new method enables production of urethanes in high yields and selectivity.
