7th International Workshop on Terahertz Technology and Applications – Call for Papers

The workshop fosters the exchange of knowledge and experience between academics and industry in rapidly developing field of terahertz technology.

The technology’s potential for applications in diagnostics, measurement and testing has been demonstrated in a number of ways during the past years. However, scientists are faced with challenging questions when it comes to the industrial use of terahertz technology.

The seventh workshop will address primarily the topics of non-destructive testing, technology for homeland security, communications, health and social aspects of terahertz technology, and novel THz system technologies.

Renowned international experts have confirmed to give invited lectures to the forum, among them Prof. Dr. Willie J. Padilla from the Duke University (USA), Prof. Dr. Masahiko Tani from the University of Fukui (Japan) and Dr. W. Winkler from Silicon Radar GmbH. Prof. Dr. Georg von Freymann, head of department »Materials Characterization and Testing« at Fraunhofer IPM und Prof. Dr. Karsten Buse, executive director of Fraunhofer IPM will act as chairmen.

Experts in the field of terahertz technology are encouraged to submit their abstracts until
October 31, 2015 via the VDI/VDI-GMA website (see below). The workshop will be held in English.
