New synthesis of γ-spirolactams
This invention is a process for the simple synthesis of γ-spirolactams issuing from aromatic carboxylic acids and chloracetonitriles. Up until now, there has not been an efficient, cost-effective synthesis for γ-spirolactams. Previous procedures include several synthesis steps and toxic reagents. This invention delivers a simple, cost-effective synthesis procedure. The reagents used are significantly less costly than those used in previous processes.
