Forming Process for Metal-foam Sandwiches
Cottbus College of Applied Sciences (BTU Cottbus) recently developed and tested a process for forming metal-foam sandwiches (foam-coated aluminium or other metal plates). Improved forming efficiency and component properties (including residual stress and measurement tolerance) are the chief characteristics of the new process.
