TeslaSweeper – High Precision Bipolar Zero-Noise Magnetic Field Variation

Development and characterization of novel magnetic materials and devices are of increasing industrial importance. Investigational methods are in general based on the measurement of electrical or optical signals as a function of specimen magnetization, which mostly is provided by electro magnets. Basic shortcomings are restricted specimen accessibility caused by tight pole shoes, thermal specimen stress, magnetic core hysteresis, noise caused by power supply instability and only limited usability in ultra high vacuum environments. Different magnetic field directions frequently require multiple and customized magnetization devices. This is time consuming and costly.
