Recycling of Polyurethane

The novel process permits the production of new, high-quality polyurethanes from polyurethane waste. The critical step of depolymerization is achieved by adding polyurethane polyureato a mixture of diols and/or triols combined with amines while heating the mixture. This produces nanodispersed polyurea polyols that can be used for polyurethane production. The particle size of the dispersed oligourea and/or polyurea particles is in nanometer range.
