Positioning System for record media
This broad patent for a positioning system for audio and/ or video devices addresses a big and constantly growing market of consumer electronics, especially electronic entertainment systems. In detail, it describes a technology for heading for a selected or selectable position on a record medium. It has no restrictions regarding the kind of record medium. The here presented invention offers a non-linear search method and system that allows for a quick and easy finding of a selected positions in media like digital medium players, DVD or hard disk recorders. The invention comprises two controlling devices that start searches in opposite directions.
